So you wanna take a class....
Have you wanted to take a class?
Here are some things you should know:
We strive to keep our classes affordable and well below the national cost for knitting classes. In order to do this, we have a class policy that must be adhered to.
Sign up a week in advance at least. If something comes up, make a courtesy call to cancel. Class sizes are limited, some one may be on a waiting list. 877-9276
Come in several days before the class for pre-class instructions, and to pick out and have your yarn wound.
This is the most important part of our policy. Yarn bought directly before class and unwound creates more work for the Knit Wits staff and takes away from yours and others valuable class time.
Also for some of the classes, picking out the pattern ahead of time gives you the chance to start on the project. This allows our class time focus on learning new techniques and working on difficulties that may arise in the pattern instead of just getting a bunch of rows done. If you knit slowly, this is extremely important.
Yarn for projects and classes must be purchased at Knit Wits.
Know your gauge. If you knit tightly, you may need to increase needle size.
This policy was made to help everyone get as much from the classes as possible AND make our classes enjoyable.
Feel free to take notes during classes. Most classes have hand outs for your benefit.
